Drawer is in the peaceful village of Beckford on the edge of the Cotswolds and a stones throw from the lush Vale of Evesham.
Set against the backdrop of Bredon Hill, well known to walkers and cyclists, there is plenty more besides breathtaking scenery. So it is well worth planning a visit.

Here are a few local attractions and artisans who make the area an interesting place to be.
Beckford Silk |
Just around the corner is Beckford Silk, a small printing factory with some stunning fabrics for sale and a fascinating tour and presentation on silk printing. Look out for the collection of old printing blocks. Beckford Silk has been printing since 1975, so they know their stuff. There is a shop selling silk printed items from the factory and also a resident glass artist. |

Ashton-under-hill Open Gardens |
An annual must for garden enthusiasts and those who love nosing around other peoples properties - which, lets face it, is all of us!! It is a two day event, well worth a visit to see some good old fashioned country life. The village gets a scrub up in May (not that it needs it really), clipping, pruning, mowing and filling thousands of planters. These guys really know their gardening, so you will leave eager to pop in to Drawer and pick up a fresh vintage trowel and a rusty watering can or two. Every June; check the village web site for dates. Drawer will be up to garden things too, so check our site as well. |

Fox Saddlery |

Windfall Cottage |
Windfall Cottage, apart from offering all the creature comforts you need when visiting the Cotswolds, is living proof that good looking new houses can be built in villages. It is stylish, superbly appointed and cosy. With fantastic surroundings in which to really relax and get into your visit, it is highly likely that the cottage will play a key part in making Beckford and Bredon Hill one of your favourite parts of England. With the Cotswolds on one side, and the Marches and Wales a stones throw to the West, this is a brilliant base from which to visit some of the best of middle England. But as if that wasn't enough, you'll be just over the road from Drawer, with the irresistable opportunity to pick up some stylish vintage items, beautifully presented chic junk or highly collectable world artifacts. Resistance is futile. |
